I was worried this would be too simple for my kindergartner, but the Pigeon's classic tantrums about school rules kept her totally engaged and asking to read it again.

My four-year-old laughed so hard at the Pigeon's arguments against going to school that we had to read it three times in a row. The illustrations really capture his dramatic mood swings perfectly.

The Pigeon's tantrums are hilarious, and the book is short enough to hold my kid's attention. I just wish it was a little longer for the price, but the story is a solid one for a laugh.
