Samuel S. ★★★★☆

The story about Smudge falling behind the herd really resonated with my toddler, who kept asking "why can't she keep up?" before the happy ending. Illustrations are sweet and the pages have that nice, thick feel you want in a board book.

Emma ★★★★☆

My toddler loves the story about Smudge trying to keep up with the herd, and the hardback cover is holding up to daily reading. I just wish there were a few more pages, as we finish it too quickly.

Isabella ★★★☆☆

The hardback cover feels sturdy and the illustrations are charming, but the story itself is pretty simple and my kid lost interest halfway through. It's a nice enough book, just not very engaging for a three-year-old.
