Shibu's Tail by Tess Thomas

The way the illustrations capture Shibu's tail curling and twitching with each emotion is just perfect — my kid giggles every time we read the part about his happy tail. We've already read it three nights in a row, and it's quickly becoming a bedtime favorite.

My three-year-old absolutely loves the part where Shibu’s tail goes up when he’s happy—she giggles every time. The story is simple but really helped start a conversation about emotions during reading time. I’ve already bought a second copy for a friend’s kid.
