The chunky beads are easy for small hands to grasp, and I love that the set includes both beads and lacing boards for variety. My son figured out how to string them together on his second try, and the finished circle of friends is a nice size.

My 2-year-old has been so focused threading the beads onto the cords, it's the first quiet activity that keeps her engaged for a solid 15 minutes. The boards are just the right size for her little hands to lace.
