I was a bit worried the squirrel would look too cartoonish, but the stitching on his paws and that perfectly grumpy expression make him feel so much more real and charming. He's already claimed a spot on my desk, and I catch myself smiling every time I see his little face.

The squirrel's little grumpy face is dead-on to the character in the books, which my kid noticed right away. It's soft enough to sleep with but sturdy after a few weeks of being dragged around. The slightly hyperactive, never-content expression somehow makes it more lovable.
