LOUIMAX - RÊVE D’ÊTRE ADULTE (FRA) von Maileg

Bought this for bedtime and it's become the one we reach for most nights. The 56 pages fly by, and the illustrations give us plenty to point at and talk about. My kid now says he's glad he's not a grown-up yet, which is honestly the best review I can give.

My six-year-old loved the idea of a mouse wanting to be a grown-up, and the 56-page length was perfect for a bedtime story with plenty of discussion. The hardcover feels durable, and the story’s twist at the end really made her think.

The illustrations on every page are what sold me — my four-year-old keeps pointing at the little mouse's tiny chair. At 56 pages it's long enough to feel like a real story but short enough for bedtime without a meltdown.
